It's quite a good thing that Godolphin is doing(with the Racing in Dubai sale), for a small potential owner who doesn’t understand much about pedigrees etc this is a fantastic way to get involved with racing.”
“Of course Godolphin horses are very high quality and good value horses.”
“I am quite an involved owner. I love to watch my horses train and I go racing every time my horse is running.”
Although he doesn’t have any horses elsewhere, he is considering buying a racehorse or two in the UK.
“The UAE season is very short and the UK season is timed perfectly to start once the UAE season ends, which would give me more opportunities to watch my horses race.”
“I already have a friend who has horses there and I am still thinking about it,” says Hashish with a chuckle.
When referring to his stable stars, he talks about Spirit of Light, who ran fourth in the Guineas Trial in January. The Irish bred son of Gr.1 winning DarkAngel, is slated to race in the Gr.3 UAE Guineas this week.
“If Spirit of Light does well in the Guineas, then we may consider him for one more race this season. He has good abilities, so let's see.”
His other stable star is Way of Wisdom, out of Australian Gr.1 sprinter Lonhro has won twice and was runner up in one race this season. The Godolphin bred 5YO races on both dirt and turf which makes him much more competitive.
“Way of Wisdom is useful on both Turf and Dirt, which is good, as there are just fewer turf races in the UAE.”
Another star who has been doing well is Mark of Approval. The son of Lemon Drop Kid(USA) has been doing well this season.
“He is either winning a first place or third. I am looking forward to seeing him get over it and win all the races.”
“My favourite horse is Enable and I would one day like to own a horse like her or even ‘part’ of a horse like her.”
Hashish aspires to see one of his horse's race on Dubai World Cup day next year (2021).
“I would be very pleased if we can have horseracing on Dubai World Cup day next year and I would dream to see one of my horses winning a race on Dubai World Cup Day in the next five years.”
