Yorkshire Ebor Festival 2017 – This Is How It Went...
Four days filled with fun and adrenaline. The Ebor festival was everything we thought and more. The four important races:
Juddmonte International Stakes:
Juddmonte International Stakes saw Ulysses outperform Churchill again. The son of Galileo was cruising the entire race but in the last furlong took off in such a style that left Churchill and Barney Roy who came in second and third as mere spectators.
First Position: Ulysses
Second Position: Churchill
Third Position: Barney Roy
Yorkshire Oaks:
An emphatic win for Enable in the Yorkshire Oaks. This time she led the race under Frankie from the first yard and won it comfortably by five lengths. Coronet and Queens Trust came second and third behind the daughter of Nathaniel.
First Position: Enable
Second Position: Coronet
Third Position: Queens Trust
Nunthorpe Stakes:
A nail biting race at the Nunthorpe Stakes saw Lady Aurelia beaten by Marsha only by a nose. The closest finish I have in some time now. Cotai Glory came in third.
First Position: Marsha
Second Position: Lady Aurelia
Third Position: Cotai Glory
Ebor Handicap:
Ebor Handicap saw 19 runners contesting for the title. Nakeeta came in first by almost a hand, followed by the Flymetothestars and Natural Scenery.
First Position: Nakeeta
Second Position: Flymetothestars
Third Position: Natural Scenery
