Trenchard Sold For AED 700,000 In Dubai Sale
Three year old bay Colt Trenchard (USA), purchased by leading South African and Dubai based trainer Mike de Kock, was sold for AED 700,000 and was the sales topper at the recent Racing in Dubai September Sale hosted by the Emirates Racing Authority in association with Tattersalls with a total of 46 horses going under the hammer.
Trenchard (USA), sold as lot 45, was previously trained by John Gosden in the U.K is by the leading stallion Elusive Quality (USA) and has an impressive race record of one win and two seconds from a total of five career starts.
Earlier in the Sale, Mike de Kock’s also purchased lot 40 Guernsey (USA) for AED 120,000. In total there was more than AED 5 million spent on the future equine stars of the UAE racing industry. Ali Rashid Al Rayhi training from Grandstand Stable at Meydan Racecourse was the leading purchaser from the Dubai Racing Club trainers, securing bids on six of the Sale horses, Janszoon (GB) being the most expensive of his purchases at AED 300,000.
