He's Our Rokkii Retired
Lindsay Park Racing has bid farewell to a Group 1 winner following Monday’s announcement that He’s Our Rokkii had run his last race.
The decision was made after the five-year-old failed to beat home a rival Saturday’s Group 3 Victoria Handicap (1400m) at Caulfield.
It followed an eighth placing in the National Sprint at Canberra on March 11 with his only other run of the campaign an eighth placing at Flemington on February 17.
The son of Roc De Cambes, who has his first three starts in New Zealand before joining Lindsay Park, retires a winner of seven of his 29 starts.
His biggest success was the Group 1 Toorak Handicap (1600m) in 2016, the same year that he won the Carbine Club Stakes (1600m) and Packer Plate (2000m), both at Group 3 level, in Sydney.
He’s Our Rokkii will spend his post-racing days at the Adelaide Hills property of his managing part-owner Darren Thomas.
