Australian Runner Bound for Saratoga
Richard Freedman trained-Sarrasin is prepping for a potential start in the Gr.1 Longines Breeders’ Cup Turf. Freedman hopes to get him into the top races in Saratoga in order to secure his berth for the Breeders' Cup weekend.
Sarrasin has raced in France before being shipped to Australia.
He will not have another start in Australia, Freedman said, and is tentatively scheduled to fly to New York at the end of June where Freedman hopes to race the entire in the $1 million Gr.1 Sword Dancer Invitational Stakes (on the Travers Day undercard) and Gr.II Bowling Green Stakes.
The son of Monsun is half brother to top group one winners such as Almandin and French stakes winner Sahrawi.
