Charlie Appleby has reported
Blue Point to be in fine form ahead of the King's Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot 2018. He clashes with last year's winner Lady Aurelia and Prix de l'Abbaye hero Battaash in the Royal Ascot feature.
The four-year-old showed himself to be a high-class performer last season, with three of his starts coming at Ascot, winning a listed race and a Group 3 either side of his third behind Caravaggio and Harry Angel in the Commonwealth Cup at this meeting.
Blue Point looked as good as ever when second on his return in Dubai and, with trainer Charlie Appleby happy to put a line through his below-par effort in Hong Kong last time, hopes are high that the son of Shamardal can resume his progress in Tuesday's King's Stand Stakes.
