Atc Secures Boom Sprinter Nature Strip
The Australian Turf Club has partnered with one of Australia’s most dynamic sprinters Nature Strip as its runner for the world’s richest race on turf, the $13 million TAB Everest at Royal Randwick on Saturday 13 October.
Nature Strip trained by Australia’s most-winning stable in Darren Weir and with a large contingent of owners has won eight of 11 starts, including his last four in succession.
Nature Strip is next due to run in the Group One Moir Stakes at Moonee Valley on Friday night 28 September.
Australian Turf Club Director Phil Morley said Nature Strip was one of the most talked about and promising sprinters in Australian racing.
As part of the ATC’s slot partnership, a percentage of prizemoney earned from TAB Everest will be donated to a worthy cause through the ATC Foundation.
ATC has also launched the On Top Of The World competition in which one person and three friends win a “money can’t buy’’ Owners’ Experience on TAB Everest Day.
The winner and guests receive two nights’ accommodation at The Star, a buffet breakfast at Sokyo, helicopter transfer to Royal Randwick on TAB Everest Day including a tour of Sydney’s Northern Beaches, a gourmet hospitality package and dinner at Black Bar & Grill at The Star that evening.
The competition winner will also receive a $50,000 cash bonus if the ATC’s runner wins TAB Everest.
