Seeking the Soul True Timber Target Pegasus
Charles Fipke owned Seeking the Soul and multiple graded stakes-placed True Timber have been confirmed as competitors in the US$9m Gr.1 Pegasus World Cup Invitational Stakes.
The Gr.1-winning millionaire Seeking the Soul will be seeking redemption in the race, as she ran fifth in the second edition of the Pegasus held in January 2018. The race was won by Horse of the Year Gun Runner who has now been retired to stud.
The entire who was also bred by Fipke, placed in four of five subsequent Stakes' starts and won the Gr.3 Ack Ack Stakes Churchill Downs.
The Cigar Mile Handicap winner True Timber, is one of two horses owned by Calumet Farm which will be running side-by-side this year. Gr.1 Preakness Stakes Gr.1 runner-up Bravazo, is also Pegasus-bound.
True Timber was second in the Bold Ruler Handicap Gr.3 before the Cigar Mile, both at Aqueduct, and before that won back-to-back optional-claiming allowances at Belmont Park three months apart. He has placed in five career stakes, four graded.
