German Invader Shines In Singspiel Trackwork (Horse Profile)
Eckhard Suaren owned German invader Degas has been steadfastly gaining in form for his Meydan debut in the Gr.3. Singspiel Stakes.
The son of son of Exceed and Excel has won or placed in five Group stakes in 2018. He was runner-up in his last start - Gr.2 Premio Vittorio di Capua at San Siro in Italy. Markus Klug charge won the Gr.3 Grosser Preis der Wirtschaft (Gr.3) at the Singspiel’s 1800m distance. He was subsequently gelded and sold at by owner-trainer Markus Klug at the Tattersall’s July sale for $138,653 to his current owner.
Degas is a son of the treble listed winner Diatribe (GB) (Tertullian), herself a daughter of the German champion 3-year-old filly Diacada (Ger) (Cadeaux Genereux {GB}).
