MM National Sale Gets Blue Blooded Boost
The impeccably bred, multiple Gr.2 winner The Taj Mahal, from one of the world’s best and most current families, will join three other stallion prospects to go under the hammer at the conclusion of Day One of the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale at the end of May.
The Taj Mahal is by world champion sire Galileo and from the group winning, champion producer You’resothrilling.
The Taj Mahal is a full brother to Group One winners Gleneagles, Happily and Marvellous and a brother in blood to fellow Group One winner Decorated Knight. Gleneagles, a Champion at two and three in Europe, is standing at Coolmore Stud in Ireland and his first runner Highland Chief was a winner.
The other group performed stallion prospects set to go under the hammer later this month are Bondi (Snitzel-Bondi Blonde), Good Project (Not a Single Doubt-Euchre) and Merovee (Frankel-More Strawberries).
Bondi (Lot 1009) won at two and has raced against the best gallopers during his short career to date. He was second in the Group One Champagne Stakes at two and beaten a nose in January’s $2 million Gold Coast Magic Millions 3YO Guineas.
A son of Snitzel, Bondi, like The Taj Mahal, has been entered as part of a star studded Newgate Consignment.
Chris Waller Racing will present two outstanding prospects – Good Project (Lot 1010) and Merovee (Lot 1011).
Good Project, a half brother to two international stakes performers, is a Group One winning son of Not a Single Doubt who earned over $1.3 million on the track.
Frankel’s son Merovee is a multiple winner from a short career and was second at group level as a three-year-old. He is from the Group winner More Strawberries, a half sister to Group One winner and successful sire All American.
