ATC has started looking for its next Everest representative
The Australian Turf Club (ATC) has invited a formal Expressions of Interest from local and international connections to represent their slot in the third running of the A$14 million Everest.
The Everest is the world’s richest race on turf and is run at Royal Randwick.
In 2017, ATC joined with Australian Bloodstock and its Japanese-bred runner Brave Smash ridden by UK-based Jamie Spencer, who ran third in the inaugural running of the TAB Everest.
Last year ATC partnered with Godolphin Australia and Osborne Bulls ridden by Tommy Berry who also finished third.
Australian Turf Club General Manager Racing, Wagering and International James Ross said the A$14 million Everest was again creating huge interest five months before the race at Royal Randwick on Saturday 19 October, 2019.
