Asian Invaders Prepare To Raid Royal Meeting
Stephen Gray trained-Lim’s Cruiser will be travelling to Ascot after a disappointing trip in the Group One Lion City Cup at Kranji when he went down by a neck to Aramco.
The six-year-old gelding will entered in the Gr.1 Diamond Jubilee Stakes confirmed Mick Dittman – one of Australia’s outstanding jockeys of the last century who manages owner Lim Siah Mong's string of horses.
Gray's last trip to Ascot was when he saddled Emperor Max who finished seventh in the 2015 British Champions Sprint won by Muhaarar.
Lim’s Cruiser is an 11-times winner who has bagged more than £1 million in prize-money.
Trainer Stephane Wattel is also preparing his charge - City Light for another crack at the Diamond Jubilee Stakes following his fine effort last summer.
Wattel is keen to take City Light back for the Group One over six furlongs after he was only beaten a short head by Merchant Navy, and his campaign for the first half of the campaign will be geared towards that objective.
