Frankel Son Eminent Retired To New Zealand
Multi Group winning (and placed) son of Frankel, Eminent, has been retired to will retire to Brighthill Farm in New Zealand for an introductory fee of NZ$8,000 (US$5,265).
Raced by Sir Peter Vela in conjunction with Hubie de Burgh, Eminent won three of his 14 starts for earnings of almost AU$1 million (US$751,838)
He finished sixth to Churchill in the Gr.1 Two Thousand Guineas and fourth to Wings of Eagles in the Gr.1 Investec Derby before producing an explosive display to land the Gr.2 Prix Guillaume d'Ornano at Deauville, making all under Ryan Moore.
Eminent supplemented that effort with a fine third behind Decorated Knight and Poet's Word in the Gr.1 Irish Champion Stakes.
Outside the frame in four starts as a 4-year-old, Eminent was renamed He's Eminent and produced a fine display on debut for Sir Mark Todd in the autumn, finishing runner-up to Avilius in the Gr.1 Ranvet Stakes prior to ending his racing career at Sha Tin.
A son of unbeaten Banstead Manor Stud resident Frankel, who has already produced fellow champion Cracksman and recent Gr.1 Investec Oaks heroine Anapurna, Eminent is out of the Group-One-placed You'll Be Mine, who is a half sister to Sea the Stars Gr.1 Pretty Polly Stakes winner Diamondsandrubies.
