Pure Sensation Seeks Third Parx Dash Win
Gr.3 Parx Dash Stakes' two time champion, Patricia Generazio's homebred Pure Sensation is a two-time winner of the US$200,000. The 8YO gelding is aiming to take his title back after finishing third to Mr. Amore Stables' Vision Perfect in last year's five-furlong turf contest.
Defending champion Vision Perfect is also entered again for the Parx Racing spectacle.
The son of Zensational captured both of his starts this year infront-running style, including the Pennsylvania Governor's Cup at Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course. Pure Sensation has won half of his 14 races at the Parx Dash distance, and Christophe Clement has saddled him through 32 starts with a 12-5-6 record.
Robert Bone's Completed Pass has run first or second in his last eight starts, and the 5-year-old Pass Rush gelding enters the Parx Dash off a neck defeat in the Pennsylvania Governor's Cup after tracking Pure Sensation the entire way.
The Claudio Gonzalez trainee was second in his stakes debut April 20 when he experienced another neck loss in the King T. Leatherbury Stakes at Laurel Park.
Vision Perfect is one of two entries for trainer Jason Servis. The 7-year-old son of Pollard's Vision finished 2018 with two stakes victories, but is looking to rebound from the May 19 Get Serious Stakes at Monmouth Park.
Servis also trains Michael Dubb, Bruce Irom, Joseph Zinman, and Michael Zinman's Fig Jelly, who was second to Pure Sensation in allowance company in April and second to stablemate and multiple grade 1 winner World of Trouble in last summer's Quick Call Stakes at Saratoga Race Course.
