Poet's Word to Stand at Boardsmill as Dual Purpose Sire
2019 King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes Gr.1 and Prince of Wales's Stakes Gr.1 winner Poet's Word will stand for €5,000 (US$5,536) at Boardsmill Stud in 2020, serving as a dual-purpose stallion.
The Flood family secured the son of Poet's Voice for their County Meath business in the summer after he had fulfilled one season as a flat sire at Nunnery Stud.
Poet's Word to place seventh in last year's Longines World's Best Racehorse Rankings after finishing his racing career with a solid second behind the ill-fated Roaring Lion in the Gr.1 Juddmonte International.
Flood confirmed the fees of the other three stallions on the roster, Califet (€6,000), Court Cave (€4,000), and Kalanisi (€4,000), would be unchanged in 2020.
