Review - Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf
E Five Racing Thoroughbreds’ Rushing Fall swept to the lead in upper stretch to win the 10th running of the $1 million Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf by three-quarters of a length over Best Performance at Del Mar racetrack to kick off the 34th Breeders’ Cup World Championships.
Trained by Chad Brown and ridden by Javier Castellano, Rushing Fall covered the mile on a firm turf course in 1:36.09 in winning her third race in as many starts. The victory was a repeat for all the human connections of Rushing Fall, who were represented in the winner’s circle last year by New Money Honey.
Rushing Fall came first followed closely by Best Performance and September at second and third positions respectively.
